My connection to nature started early. Ever since I was a little kid, I wanted to live in the jungle - somewhere green, remote, and full of life. I was so fascinated by travel, nature, and wildlife that my parents let me choose and plan family vacations to Costa Rica and Belize when I was 10 and 12 years old respectively.

Always drawn to places where nature takes center stage, I have since explored all 50 U.S. states and traveled every continent except Antarctica. I studied Hospitality Management at Cornell University with the dream of starting my own eco-tourism business in an exotic wildlife-rich tropical location. I am now living that dream and loving it!

Kauai is an incredible place to explore on foot or by bike. Much of the island remains untouched wilderness—lush rainforest, cascading waterfalls, volcanic ridgelines, and dramatic cliffs. From the sweeping views of Waimea Canyon to the rugged beauty of Nā Pali Coast, it’s a landscape that rewards those willing to get outside and move through it.

But what makes Kauai special goes beyond scenery. It’s a living community shaped by Native Hawaiian roots and generations of cultures from around the world. Over time, that blend has created a unique lifestyle, food scene, and sense of place that I love sharing with visitors.

My wife and I moved to Kauai in 2016, and it quickly became home. Locals often say the island either accepts you or it doesn’t—and we’ve been lucky to feel embraced here. Giving back has always mattered to me, whether through coaching high school wrestling or volunteering with local animal organizations. Since becoming a father in 2022, I absolutely love adventuring around the island with my children and seeing it all freshly again through their eyes. That perspective carries into my tours, especially for families looking for a more engaging and memorable Kauai experience.

Guiding allows me to combine everything I care about: the outdoors, connecting with people, and helping others experience Kauai in a deeper, more active way.
